For any movement, you plan three routes:
Primary route — your intended path. The most direct or convenient.
Alternate route — a different path to the same destination, used if the primary is compromised.
Emergency route — where you go if everything goes wrong. This one doesn't lead to your destination — it leads to safety (a rally point, a safe house, a crowded place).
