The live-handoff counterpart to the dead drop — a fraction-of-a-second transfer between two operatives who brush past each other without stopping or acknowledging each other.
A brush pass is a live, physical handoff between two operatives who pass each other briefly — usually without stopping or acknowledging each other. It is the live counterpart to the dead drop.
Where a dead drop avoids a meeting entirely, a brush pass uses the appearance of two strangers passing on the street to transfer an item in the fraction of a second neither party is face-to-face.
Faster than a dead drop (no separate servicing run)
No item left unattended
